Lee Thomas Voice Lessons: |
A North Carolinian native, Lee is in his seventh year as choral and band director and general music teacher for Carolina Day School's high school division. Lee was born and raised in Concorn, North Carolina, and attended college at Western Carolina University, in Cullowhee, North Carolina. He holds a B.A. in Vocal Performance. In Addition to teaching at Carolina Day, Lee also directs the music program at Trinity United Methodist Church in West Asheville. He teaches private voice lessons at the Asheville Music and Art. His students range from children to adults at all levels. Lee's approach is personal and anecdotal, yet technically and professionally informed by degree and more than 20 years as a professional singer. Lee also has 20 years of theatrical and musical theatre experience. He has performed with the Asheville and Hendersonville Symphony Orchestras, Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre (SART), Haywood Arts Repertory Theatre (HART), Parkway Playhouse, Mockingbird Theater Company, Asheville Light Opera, Midday Musicals. He currently sings in Asheville's premier a cappella octet known as Pastyme. |

Alisha Torrealba Voice Lessons: |
Alisha began studying music at an early age, performing in all-state choirs, solo and ensemble competitions, theatre, and performing in the Disney World Candlelight Processional throughout high school. She attended college at the University of Central Florida where she earned a B.A. in Music Performance and Technology. During her studies, she began teaching private voice lessons and eventually grew to become a prominent instructor in the Orlando area. Alisha has collaborated with visual artists while living in Orlando and New York City, and is currently the vocalist/keyboardist for local band, Eleven &the Falcons. Her diverse background ranging from opera styles, pop, musical theatre, and experimental music allows a strong focus on fulfilling her students� individual goals as artists and creators. Students of all ages and experience levels are welcome. |

I have developed my own unique method for teaching stringed instruments that in addition to teaching songs, technique, music theory, and other fundamentals; also prepares and facilitates the student to learn how to play music with other musicians. I have used this method for people of all age ranges from as young as five years old and up. I have books I am in the process of finishing based on these methods. I have taught stringed instrument workshops since 2001 at venues such as music stores, festivals, and cultural arts centers in the Southeast. Hans began studying music at an early age. He has studied electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, piano, clarinet , bass clarinet, saxophone, tuba and upright string bass. He has played with his father's jazz band, the Virginia Beach orchestra, the Norfolk symphony, various rock bands and even some gospel and bluegrass bands. Hans teaches both children and adults to read by music and play by ear with a fun, yet steady, approach. He also leads a youth rock band which students can join once they've had a few months of lessons. Rates: $80.00 per Month for one lesson per week. |
